About Us

is a non-profit organization of dedicated volunteers working together to advance the study of military history and promote the hobby of historical wargaming by producing JodieCon campaign conferences.

JodieCon presents historical miniatures wargaming as it should be. Each campaign in the series features weekend-long wargames run by premier HMGS game masters and is filled with fun and camaraderie. Informative presentations by historians, military experts and historical re-enactors round out the experience.

Bio of JodieCon Director Major Peter F Panzeri Jr., US Army, Infantry

Author and combat veteran Pete Panzeri is best known for his award winning book Little Big Horn 1876: Custer's Last Stand, (In it’s 9th printing since 1996) and his work as a military history commentator for numerous television and film productions. Pete has also published SANTA ANNA RULES! Warfare in Mexico 1820-1820, and PLAINS WAR CAMPAIGNS (http://www.jodiepress.org). Pete is the ORIGINS (www.originsgames.org) StrategiCorps Director, War College Moderator, and Executive Vice President for the Historical Miniatures Gaming Society (www.hmgs.org). His military career includes earning the Combat Infantryman's Badge and Bronze Star in Iraq, and several teaching assignments as Chief of Military History at the US Army Infantry School, Tactics Chief at the Military Intelligence School, and at the US Military Academy, West Point Prep.
